Mike Hulbert

Mike Hulbert is a full time Musky Guide and has been guiding since 1999. Mike spends around 250 days a year on the water annually and travels all over the Midwest in search of Giant Muskies and to be sure he is putting his clients on the best and biggest fish throughout the year. During the spring Mike starts off Guiding his local lakes in Northern Indiana until the month of June where he travels to Lake St. Clair. The end of June through mid Sept he travels to Northern Minnesota searching for and catching the legit super takers that swim in these waters. During the fall, from late September through Dec. 15, Mike travels back to Lake St. Clair. Mike is a Field Editor for Musky Hunter Magazine and films several times a year for Musky Hunter TV. During the winter months, Mike travels all over the midwest appearing at various sport shows and expos and giving around 25 seminars annually. In 2012, Mike and his clients caught and released 578 muskies, with 48 of them being over 50 inches.

Heinrich Bier has been living and working on the LOTW's since 2009 as a Professional Guide. His passion for Muskies saw him travel all the way across Ontario to pursue his dream of being a Musky Guide. He and fellow DBB Pro Staffer Mike Grant are the Owners and Operators of the Giant Quest- A Canadian company who film Educational and Instructional Videos to help people learn how to properly fish for Muskies and practice Catch and Release. Heinrich also fishes the trophy waters of Eagle Lake, Lake Wabigoon and the Winnipeg river as well as many others in Northwestern Ontario.

Arnaud Fileppi grew up at the edges of the Alpine lakes in France and has been fishing since he was 4 years old. He is a full time Fishing Guide and has caught numerous GIANT Pike for his customers. Arnaud fishes the largest natural lake in Europe, Lake Geneva (lac Léman). He has won several of the most popular Pike fishing tournaments in France.He is a Pro Staffer for Humminbird and Minnkota, and has also developed a line of soft lures for catching trophy Pike. He has also worked with St Croix designing fishing rods specifically for Pike. He is a contributing Writer for Esox World and often responds to Interview with French and European Magazines. His dream is to catch a Giant Pike over 59 inches… and even a trophy Musky.

Don has Guided Muskies for over 40 years in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Canada. He has worked with the National Hunting and Fishing Library and has been featured on many In-Fisherman videos. He was the Instructional Director at In-Fisherman's Camp FISH. He has done TV Shows with Ontario Outdoors, The New Fly Fisher and The Hunt For Big Fish with Larry Dahlberg. Don has owned and operated Nielsen's Fly-In Lodge for the past 25 years and considers himself very blessed to be able to work and live on Rowan Lake where he gets to hunt for this truly great fish everyday.

Jerry Sondag

Jerry Sondag owns and operates Headshaker Musky Guide Service in West Central Minnesota and is an active member in the Fargo Moorhead Chapter of Muskies, Inc as well as the IGFA (International Gamefish Association). Since 2005 he and his clients have caught and released well over 200 muskies surpassing the 50 inch mark all the way up thru 57 inches, several of which weighing 50+ pounds. Jerry isn't a "One trick pony" though, he has traveled and fished many destinations across the globe for some of the most elusive and largest gamefish on the planet. His extensive knowledge ranging from Bass to Billfish is often employed in his boat while Guiding for North Americas top predator. Doug caught his first muskie in 1965. He has since spent many years fishing and guiding on the Lake of the Woods and has put thousands of muskies in the boat. Over the years he has written many articles for In-fisherman and Esox Angler, as well as giving seminars at Muskies Inc meetings across the muskie world and at muskie shows in the mid-west. He's appeared on In-Fisherman and the Next Bite TV shows several times over the years. He's been on a number of pro-staffs for many different lure and tackle manufacturers. Doug was recently selected to the Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame as a Legendary Guide.

Don is an avid Musky Angler and a true pioneer of the Sport. His "Muskies Live" and "Muskie Intervention" videos were ground breaking moments in the history of Musky Fishing. Jim Murphy

Captain Jim (Murph) Murphy

Jim has hunted Muskies for 45 years. His home water is Leech Lake in Northern Minnesota and he Guided for several years on a part time basis. He retired from law enforcement in 1998 and began Guiding full time. Muskie fishing has always been his passion, but he has been fortunate to chase Marlin and Sails in Panama, Tarpon in Trinidad, and many predator species in the Florida Keys. In a nutshell he loves to catch BIG fish. As a guide, Murph now gets just as much of a thrill watching his clients catch the king of freshwater, the mighty Muskie. He has worked for Thorne Bros. for many years at sport shows, and loves talking Muskies. Jim is a Field Editor for Musky Hunter Magazine and presents seminars throughout the Midwest. Dominic hunts the Muskies of the Ottawa River between Ottawa and Montreal and is a casting fanatic. Will started fishing as soon as he could walk and has been completely obsessed with muskie fishing for more than 30 years. Mathieu hunts on two of the World's greatest river systems for Muskies; the St. Lawrence River and the Ottawa River.

Many Muskies over 50 inches have been caught and released from Mathieu's boat, and he believes that is due to his never give up, stay positive and confident mindset.

Paul Hartman’s obsession with fishing goes back to his first memory and has grown in magnitude his entire life. His quest for big fish brings him to countless locations each year, ranging from the Caribbean chasing double digit bonefish to the Canadian shield to fulfill his quest to capture a world class Muskie.

Paul started guiding for Muskies in his early 20’s, is the founder of the Minnesota Muskie Guides Association, Promoter of the MN Muskie Expo, Co-founder of the WI Musky Expo and an active Muskie Inc member for the last 2 decades. He has made numerous guest appearances on outdoor/fishing shows, penned dozens of articles in outdoor publications and contributed to In-Fisherman, Musky Hunter, Muskie Magazine, Esox Angler and Musky Notes.

Hartman was a pioneer in the use of giant lures and long rods in the pursuit of giant muskies. In 1997 he started working with Lamiglas designing the first production 8’ and 8 1/2' muskie rods and was among the first to have success with the 18" Wishmasters; hand crafted by Legendary Artist Rolf Balansiak and pounder Bulldogs when they were still in the prototype stages.

He has been a member of many pro-staffs including- Tuffy Boats, Evinrude, Abu Garcia, Fenwick, Thorne Brothers, and many lure companies.

Bill Hamblin

Bill Hamblin

Bill has been fishing muskies since 1972. His early quests started on Ontario’s Kawartha Lakes before his jump to the bigger waters of Georgian Bay, Eagle Lake and Lake of the Woods. After writing an article for Musky Hunter Magazine in 1992 a guiding career evolved and continued until 2001. From 1996 through 2001 Bill co-authored the Musky Hunter’s Almanacs with Larry Ramsell. More recently he published 120 Days, a book inspired by Bill Gardner’s Time on the Water, documenting his search for giant muskies on Georgian Bay. The passion continues to burn today. On any given day you may find Bill hunting muskies on Georgian Bay, in Ontario’s north country, or on the iconic waters of the northern States. One things for sure. If you come across a black 17 foot Lund with a 75 Evinrude E-Tech tiller in your travels, you better stop and say hi to Bill.

Perennial success on the professional tournament level is rare, but for Ben, it has become the regular. Over a few short years, he has piled up 9 top-4 finishes, including 4 wins. In 2016, Ben won the prestigious PMTT Top Gun award, a year after finishing runner-up for the award. Formally a biologist with NOAA and WDNR, Ben writes informative pieces that glue fisheries biology to angling success, and is featured in several publications. With his background and talent, Ben uses the coveted lakes of Northern Wisconsin as his playground, and obsesses over finding and exploring the systems that produce world-class muskies. You can find him on the waters around Minocqua, WI showing clients the best gear, lures, techniques and methods for catching big fish with high efficiency.

Adam Robinson

The joy and passion for Musky Fishing began very early for Adam. Growing up on the World Famous French River and Georgian Bay, Adam learned to appreciate the hunt and the thrill of catch and release angling.

A proficient caster and troller, Adam has found BIG fish success with both techniques and believes his key to success is always looking to learn and improve on his skillsets.

A highlight of his career to date was boating a 50 incher during his time with Bill Hamblin who was in the midst of writing his book- 120 days.

Pete Bostelmann’s first muskie was caught on his 6th birthday, fueling a passion that has stuck with him through life. The Kawartha Lakes have always been Pete’s stomping grounds and his yearly average size caught makes him stand out from the rest of the crowd. Pete’s spare time is spent tying marabou baits for Dadson Blades Baits and he is very active with Muskies Canada where he has served as the Membership Director at both the chapter and national levels. Teaching advanced release and handling techniques to novice anglers is very important to Pete and he takes every opportunity to teach these skills both in the boat and in presentations.

Brian began hunting and fishing at an early age with his father and uncles. Being an outdoorsman has been a way of life for as long as he can remember. Brian caught his first musky in the early 90s and been chasing them ever since. Throughout the year his time is spent hunting or fishing somewhere….there is no off season. Brian grew up fishing Wisconsin waters and portions of the Great Lakes. He enjoys the challenge and rewards of tackling new water.
